Heres the scoop, its the end of the week of yet another hectic and totally exhaustive week at ASTW.
Honestly, its been quite a while since i last attended a course in SISPEC. (The last time was earlier this year) so it was kinda inconvenient having to re-adapt to life as a trainee. The good thing is that, since i'm in the CSM course (The most adv course run by SISPEC), we are given priviledges. SO i may just be a 2SG, but i'm given the same priviledges that the SSGs and MSGs get. We are treated fairly and equally throughout.
The PS course trainees are harder off. They do not have as much priviledges as we do. They have to do more exercises..basically for them, the course is tougher. But, as much as i pity them sometimes, it reminds me of myself when i was attending the PS course earlier this year. It never struck me how busy and hectic the course was till today when i looked at the PS course trainees. Their missions and exercises are back-to-back whereas ours are spaced out quite nciely. Of course we do missions concurrently with them but for only 3 out of the 5. The other 2, they do it on their own.
Before i left, my PS told me to aim for the Best Trainee award. But i don;t think that i want to go down that line again. I've done my best for the many courses so far and its is testament to me now that you do not have to be the Best trainee in every single course that you go for in order to rise. For me to stand where i am now as a future CSM of a NS battalion (quite Possibly a RSM as well if i get selected for NS-JWOC(NS Junior Warrant Officer Course)) is justification of the many months of hard work that i've invested in my span of 2 years.
Sometimes as i reflect, we need not always have to aim for the best to be the best. Just do your part, keep your heads up high and stay alert, one door closes,but many more will open. It depends on whether you want to go look for it.
I wonder what if i had gone to OCS, yes, i will be a PC, but most likely just a PC for the rest of my NSmen days.
But since i did not go down that route, i went to SISPEC, passed out as a 3SG (a year ago), instead of condemning myself to the role of a section commander even in the prospect of my NSmen days ahead, i did my best during GCC and as a result i had the opportunity to go for Platoon Sergeant Course that will qualify me to be a PS. And just when i thought i had attained the highest level that was possible for me, i was selected to go for this current CSM course (and quite proudly may i add, by my Battalion RSM.)
So you see, when we think of NS, we cannot just confine ourselves to our NSF days, we must look at the bigger picture - NS as a whole that INCLUDES your reservist. Yes, i may not be an officer or a PC, but i will be a CSM, a Specialist not only in charge of the discipline, welfare, moral, equipment, medical and training standards of the entire corp of men in the company, but also the specialist corps. In other words, i'm am holding a position that will require much more determination, perseverance and attitude than any other postition in a Guards company.
I've done my best, and it has bore fruit. I've done my parents proud, but most importantly, i've not let myself done. =)

Enough about Army. Haha.
Well, yesterday i had nights off and i met Ms. S for the evening. =) =) It was the first time we travelled from Boon Lay to Bugis..haha since shes now in NUS and her lessons ended at 6 and my nights off was at 6.30, the timing was just right. Wetn down to bugis, walked around and then went to the national library. A Place that holds special memories for the both of us. =)
We were perplexed by the high level of security, just to enter the main library section, we had to have out bags checked and our phones declared. Haha. But its udnerstandable considering that the nationla library is gonna hold some play to do with Israel. With all the terrorist concerns and all, it was udnerstandable and much appreciated.
S borrowed 4 books of Baby Blues...haha...that was so adorable man.......woooo i love her so much!! She adds so much colour and livery into my life. It is always fun, even after almost half a year to be with her all the time.
While we were at Cold Storage Bugis, i saw an offer which i couldn't resist.
2 TUBS OF B&Js ICE-CREAM FOR $15.50!!!!!
I was like OMGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG................!!!!!! but i could not bring it back to camp since it would have melted and i had no means to keep it frozen, neither could S and i eat two tubs at one go. Haha, but we still bought it anyway and we're gonna enjoy it together tomorrow. =) Can't wait!! To eat our favourite ice-cream together. hahahaha.

I really enjoy such simple moments with her, enjoying the simple things in life together, not being bogged down by superficial fears like infidelity, we just trust eachother so much and enjoy the simple and relaxed company that we draw out from eachother. Its such a wonderful feeling. =) I love her so very much. You just know that shes the one for you.
Dear, if you are reading this, thank you for the happy times that we've spent together, it certainly was a miracle that we got to know eachother, to be able to find what we're looking for in eachother.

Next week will be the last outfield week in this course, climaxing with Ex. Hawk a 4D3N summex in Tekong. =) will do my very best if i'm given an appointment, if not then even as a member of the fighting group or section, my commanders can be assured of a performace that will make them feel good to fight alongside me. Hahahahahahaha. =)
