Its been a week. A week of happiness for me. Never in such a long time time have i felt so happy. Its been truly fantastic. Truly.
I feel so lucky and feel so blessed.
*

Watched "The hills have eyes" with the special someone yesterday. It was an alright film, but the general consensus was that it felt kinda like Wolf Creek 2. Haha, same setting, same situations, with the same craters as the main focal point of the film. Haha. You get the typical happy-family-on-vacation-car-gets-screwed-up, family-gets-lost-in-the-jungle, people-dies-mysteriously-only-to-realise-the-killers-are-some-sick-perverted-humans scenarios. Gore wise, it was aplenty, but not as direct or as brutal as that found in "Dawn of the Dead"
The pace of the movie went quite well, with the occasional climaxes and tapers. Plot and storyline wise, it can get alittle dumb at times, but it does pull through rather satisfatory. All in, "The Hills have eyes" is a rather watchable movie (much much better than wolf creek) if you do not have the option to watch other movies (special someone and i wanted to watch another movie but the seats were too close to the screen). I did enjoy myself during the films with some scenes being rather amusing when for example, the predator becomes the prey when the human family's dog starts going out and hunt down the mutants, chewing their hands off. hahah.
I give it ***/*****!!!
*
Played with her sister as well after the movie. For a primary 3 kid, shes just too hyper lah. EXTREMELY hyper. I tried my best to entertain her till i myself got so tired and exhausted. Haha, yet she was still yakking and running around, drawing pictures of me (which by the way was rather interesting cause she drew stumps in place of legs for me....) Haha. Yeap, then went home, wrapping up a very tiring but well worth week for me. =)

Some random pics of the day i picked out from my comp:

WOW, today just blew me away. Simply magical. Going out with S, is just WOW. Absolutely wow. =)
I had so much fun today, making her laugh, walking around town with her. Its just so magical. Haha, and today i met alot of people i know as well! Vincent and his Gf outside Cine. My JC bio teacher Mr. CHIN!!! in and around Cine with a GUY~!~! *raises eyebrows* haha, Jean and one of the privates from Rawdy, Pte. Juraimy.
Its so interesting. S and i were speculating if Mr. Chin was watching a movie with a guy, and if he is, then why a GUY?? Haha, oh man, dun tell me Mr. Chin is uh humm....."Happy"? Haha, i guess S and i will never know. But yea, he did seem kinda sneaky though. Hahaha. =D
*

S and i watched Date Movie, a purely slapstick movie which makes fun of many other movies like My. Big Fat Greek Wedding, The Wedding Planner, Meet the Parents and Meet the Fockers (which in this case is Meet the Fockeryerdoder), Hitch, Kill Bill, Mr. and Mrs. Smith Even the PARIS HILTON Carl's Jr ad was spoofed! Haha. Everything in the movie is so literal, everything that everyone does is all taken out of a literal context. Haha. The movie sure was good, funny and absolutely entertaining. Having S by my side made it even more enjoyable for me. =D Gosh! I'm such a happy guy! Hahaha. S is the best thing that has happened to me in a long time. I really really enjoy her company alot. =D
I give the movie **** / ***** ! Serious! It is good!
Oh in addition, SCARY MOVIE 4 seems good as well...haaha They spoofed nearly every single blockbuster there is right now! From "War of the Worlds" to "King Kong"! They even spoofed Tom Cruise's mad declaration of love for Katie Holmes on Operah Winfrey! It is definitely a movie to catch! Haha and i've already chopp-ed S to watch with me. so yea! The date has been set! Can't wait! Hahaha
*
After the movie, we walked around town for a while then decided to go Changi Airport to just chill. =) Knew something else about her today, she likes sitting in planes and listening to the Pilot speaking over the intercom as well. =) Hahaha, really hope to be able to go travelling with her one day. It will be fun! Haha. =D
Had my dinner there, sent her home, walked around her place for awhile then sent her to her doorstep. Thus wrapping up an unforgetable evening. =) S is really a wonderful girl, unpretentious, sincere, caring but above all, she is very tender and warm AND i'm able to be the mad me with her around. I can just be my all natural self, no pretense, no fakes, just purely me. =) Gosh, i'm just so lucky to be able to get to know her. *Jumps around the couch ala Tom Cruise in Operah Winfrey's Show* Hahaha. Seriously, and S if you are reading this, thank you for giving me the chance to spend some of the best moments of this year thus far with you! Really enjoyed every moment of it =D =D
*

My two most favourite flavours!
Upon reaching the realms of Yishun, i set forth on a mission, I was on a quest, on a quest to find my...........B&J ice-cream. After walking to 3 different 7-11 outlets in and around my area, i was almost awashed in futility when upon my eyes fell the inviting yellow glow of a shell station. Led by my caloric instincts, i made my way there only to find my much needed NIRVANA. YES! THEY HAD A WHOLE FRIDGE FULL OF B&Js!!!!! I was like OMG!!! I was ecstatic that i immediately msged S and told her about it. Haha, i bought Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough and a Cherry Garcia (My favourite flavour thus far) Ice-cream bar. Wootsies!
So far Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough is what S describe it to be Heaven! Haha it sure is! Yum yum yummy yum!
I lurve it!! Hahaha =D *Spoons a huge lump into his mouth* DELICIOUS! Haha
I'm mad, gone totally through the roof. I'm high on Ice-cream. Hahaha. =D

Absolutely Choco-heavenly!
*
Well, that kinda wraps up an absolutely unforgettable day. =) Ciao!!

I will not profess to be a good or excellent runner, i just sometimes run to keep my physical levels in check. I really admire and respect people who take up running as a hobby cause for me, running is more of something that i will rather not do. Perhaps its the fact that i'm not that proficient in running anyway that causes this attitude of mine But sometimes i believe that with proper time and training i will one day be able to run 10, 20 km without even breaking a sweat. As of now, i'm trying to fit running into my daily routine as much as i can, being in the army hardly gives you time to actually do your own running cause most of the time you'll be so exhausted that running becomes the last thing on your mind.
But one cannot deny the importance of physical fitness in the army, hence i must still find means and ways to fit decent mileage into my schedules.
*
Sigh if only one day i can run with free abandon, not having to worry about stitches, muslce aches and just being slow. Hahaha.
*
Anyway, today Plt 02 was SUPPOSED to go Sentosa for a outing. but apparently, everyone "forgot" about it, hence it was "cancelled" haha. Luckily i was still in camp when Shuqi called me telling me that the chao Privates had hung them. lol. Saved myself a trip down to Sentosa. =P
*
Talking about Sentosa, i had a great time on thursday with who else but S. Hehe, though we did absolutely nothingg and almost missed the last bus out of Siloso beach, it was still pretty fun talking to her. =) Oh and btw, i saw the RSAF's new Apache Longbow attack helicopters Flying and circling around Siloso Beach. It looks superbly cool man.

Of course i did not take this picture, i cope-ed it fromt he net. Muahaha
I was telling S about how the RSAF only owns fighter jets, AA missles and other misc items, helicopters etc are bought by the RSAF under the army's budget. Thence this actually makes the Helis property of the Singapore Army. HAHA, Above All indeed!
Beautiful weather, beautiful day, beautiful sunset with a beautiful conversation makes for a beautiful memory. =) Had loads of fun, just sitting there, enjoying the breeze and getting sunburnt. Heh. =D
Oh! and to my utter amazement, Siloso Beach ACTUALLY has a B&J outlet! WAHHH~~~ So happy, but didn't buy anything from them though. Haha.
*
Oh well, my chao recruits have finally POP-ed from BMT to officially become less-chao-but-still-chao Privates. I was just telling them that with rank comes a little more priviledges, but apparently, they misconstrued it and though that since they are now Privates they can act like Sergeants. BAH. DREAM ON. Smoking breaks still require our authorisation AND you will still march from Pt. to Pt Haha. =)
*
After S bought her digicam, i've been feeling so tempted to get one for myself as well. My dad's digicam is hugely gargantuous, my brother's cam is spoilt and those cheapo ones that i bought from SAFE sucks to the core, what with the pictures turning out worse than your HP camera ones.
I'm interested in one, the Canon Powershot, going for $299 (At the IT show in Suntec). But really, i cannot spend so much money anymore. =( Being tempted is one thing but having a pragmatic and rational mind is another.
I must resist!
I will overcome!
I Will save my money from the gallows of the cashier machines!
I WILL NOT SUCCUMB TO TEMPTATION!!!
.
.
.
.

.
Maybe later i'll go down Northpoint and check out those digicams. Hahah
*
Anyway, my dad finally scraped his old car and bought a new (ok, a second hand, maybe-more-handed) Proton Saga.
Malaysia Boleh!~!
I was like OMG! Why a Proton?? But so far, its not bad lah, just that i hate the colour, its turqoise Green, kinda like chlorine. =D But it is still good ride afterall. The interior is not bad for a 13 yr old car, with nice upholstery and a strong solid air-con to boot. Haha.

Blogged 'nuff so here are some random thoughts of the day.

You know how its like, the industry, once having a famous-enough product, will spawn all kinds of variants of it. Take Coke or Pepsi for that matter. You start off with that quintessential product, or rather, the ORIGINAl product (i.e: like Coke) then as the years progress on, you start seeing different variants like Coke Light, Cherry Coke, Lemon Coke, Lime Coke appear. Haha.
I've been thinking whether i should do the same for my blog. I am in no way inferring that my blog is famous or what. But just feel that my blog is kinda "heavy" on external content like visit counters etc. I rely alot on little codes that links to the outside sphere that it boggs my blog down with an unncecessarily high bandwidth demand (i think). As such, my friends tell me my blog takes forever to load fully. But i beg to differ leh. I've used my camp's comps, my dad's comps, the library's comp, all works fine. Loads pretty fast as well.
I mean, yea, perhaps sometimes when i add on music or videos, it slows down abit.
Either way, i'm thinking of doing something like www.firedlunacieslite.com or sumthing. You know, a scaled down, 0 Calorie, fat free substitute for the real deal.
Haha.
*
I will still keep my main blog as this is my blog afterall, but maybe, just maybe, i'll do an alternate one. Something that is far more personal whereby it is only limited to my personal friends. The address is secret and i make use of pseudonyms rather than names to identify people.
Kinda brings you back to the whole idea of the internet.
"The ability to share knowledge or inbformation without or without disclosing of one's identity. i.e: anonymity"
*
Oh well, want to do it but lazy to. hahahaha.

Had a wonderfully relaxng time yesterday. Met S at 2 to watch Wolf Creek. Hahaha, in the end PS was so crowded that we decided to change venue to Marina Square, which was much less crowded. The only draw back was that the movie only started at 1730.
Which meant that we had nearly 3 hours of time to burn! Hahaha, walked around Esplanade, then went to Suntec to visit S's friend. Heh. The SAF was holding an exhibition there. The Navy, Air Force, and Army each had thier own booths set up to recruit ignorant youths of Singapore wow-ed by the equipment on displayed (Which honestly, till now i've not gotten to see OR use in my daily life as a NSF in 1 Gds.)
A funny thing happened though, this 3SG approached me and asked "Interested to Join the Army?" to which i swiftly answered "I AM in the army." Hahaha
Immedikatley, his face changed. HAHAHa.
*
Yea, so i finally saw how Ben & Jerrys looks like (the outlet at Suntec). Walked back to Marina just in time to catch the Movie "WOLF CREEK"

More about the movie.
Wolf Creek sure lives up to its title of being "The Scariest movie of the Year"
"Edge of your seat thriller!"
Yea right, Scariest movie for being so BORING. Edge of the seat thriller, why? because i got so BORED that i literaaly slid down my seat on to the cinema floor.
It was bad. REAL bad. Unimaginative, slow, dumb at some times and utterly a complete total waste of money.
The show is about 1Hr 40 mins of which the first hour was totally irrelevant to the final outcome of the movie. It felt like at some points of the show, the dialogue was forced out of a desire to waste time rather than promote the final objective of the movie. The first hour shows the 3 anatognists fraternizing, teasing eachother about who-likes-who, driving to places, getting roughed up by some baddies, buying a car, going to the beach, making their way to Wolf Creek, Drinking booze, sleeping, more driving, big open spaces. Bah.
It was only after the first hour of totally irrelevant b***s*** that the pace finally picked up, which turned out rather -_-"
Many a times throughout the movie, you can hear people sighing, (inclusive of myself and S). It was just so boring, it became utterly scary. Scary that such a lame and weak movie can be nominated for the Sundance Movie Festival, scary that such weak horror can be deemed by more established directors to be "Edge of the Seat Thriller".
I don't understand, don't understand it at all.
To give credit would be the acting. Sure, the actresses really screamed out thier lungs, you can almost feel the pain as the knife plunges through the lead actresses's spinal column, the wrinching pain as the blade slowly severes the nerves and spine, rendering the actress immobile and in a constant state of shock, known to the lead murderer as "Head on a Stick". HAH. I guess the only good thing about the movie is that it is 1Hr 40 mins, and not more than that, because if it is anything more than that, i will deem it cinema-genocide.
As S and i left the theater, a couple sitting behind us summed up the movie for me
Guy : "What a stupid show"
Girl : " Yea, totally."
Haha.
I give it **/*****. You will be better off watching Final Destination or Big Momma's House instead. hahaha.
*
Ok, so after the mutually-agreed-disappointingly-bad movie, S and i took a walk towards Esplanade. Walked, sat down and talked. Never had such a good talk for such a long time already. Enjoyed it through and through.
=D
Sent her home which wrapped up an unforgettable day for me. Really hope to meet S more in the future. Hahaha.
Yay.
*
ANYWAY,
I had my first taste of Ben 7 Jerrys yesterday as well, bought my FIRST ever tub of B&J ice-cream.

CHERRY GARCIA
As of now, i've Cheery-Garciaed almost 3/4 of the tub already. Its just too good. I lurve it! The cherries rock man. Hahaha

Sometimes it occurs to you how much you have gone through when you see people going through what you have. The release of the A level results brought much mixed emotions for my juniors. Some did well, others did slightly less desirable. It only serves to show that with every passing year, one cannot hide from the fact that life is indeed a continuous and re-occuring event.
Look around you, how much of our lives are actually recycled events or recurring situations. Festivals, Christmas, New Year, release of results etc. Even the act of enlisting for army shows through for this case.
However, the irony of it all is that people tend to want to avoid recurring events in our daily lives. Who likes the mundanity of paper work, having to wake up to routine (in the army) or subject ourselves to a certain set of rule and regulations, whihc effectively makes our lives a recurring event?
*
Just some things that i pondered about.
*
Gonna watch Wolf Creek l8r, wonder how is it gonna be, the reviews given to the show has been good. Hahaha hope that it does not disappoint. =D
