Warning! A potentially tear-jerking post as i reminicise on my JC life. Before you carry on, prepare a box of tissue paper to prevent getting your keyboard and/or table wet. Do not come looking for me for tissue paper, guys never use tissue paper. They use their sleeves.

ok i'll keep this short, cause i need to sleep since tomorrow GCC goes into full swing.
Yesterday was one hell of a blast! Went back to CeeJayCee for the first Open house in years! Personally i felt that it could do better considering how "Hip and Exciting" Bro. Paul made CJ out to be. =P Got in touch with a few juniors, Cheryl, ShiYin, Jon, KaiYin, LiYing etc. I must say, eventhough they may be J2s now, somehow, we as seniors, will always treat them and see them as our Juniors. =) And not to mention that Shiyin looks cuter now too. lol. My muse~
Anyway, visited the new PAC, its FANTABULOUS! Its something CJ has been lacking all the while. And the new PAC Piazza, its big and so beautiful, not to mention that the Gym is also fantastic =)

After that had lunch with my council peeps at PastaMania, Des, Aaron (who drove us around), Rena anbd Jiang.
Had my old time favourite, Vongole with white wine sauce =P Brought back memories when i ate at the Toa Payoh branch as i had one before last year, after one of our prelim papers (MC9233 was what it was!). We even sat at the same table. But that time i ate it with Des (still..) Loke and Halim.
I even have photos of that fateful day

I sat where Des sat last year.

Des and I...can't rem is it before or after the meal. Should be before i think..

Hallmark of a good vongole meal. Polished plates and cleaned off shells. =P Still the same year in year out My plate is always polished off clean =)

Loke taking a picture of me taking a picture of him taking a picture of me taking a picture of him of me taking a picture of him taking a picture of him......and so it goes on..
Army has made me realise how much time has flown on by. Reading my archives and going back Cj has really made me open my eyes to how time has slipped by me without me knowing. In a blink of an eye, JC is over, my As are over, and now another year is gonna whizze by. Makes me kinda sad that in this 10 months, i've lost touch with some of my old self, through my incessant and die-hard attitude towards my ambitions in the military. As such, i've not realised what i've lost, what i've gained, what i've forgotten and what i've come to know.
Its weird now that when i look back at my posts during my Prelim/A level period that i now fully understood how childish and immature, albeit hurt and crazy i was.
But still, i respected myself of then that i could have so much energy and tenacity to routinely follow my arduous and no less intensive study regime day in day out, week in week out. Now whenever i step into Changi Airport, i cannot help but reminicise myself doing maths sums, reading up my Bio text, eating my Chicken sandwich and falling alseep on the airport floors, feeling like a total vagabond. The subsequent sunrise(always very beautiful) and the slow morning walk down to the bus bay to take the shuttle servcie towards Woodlands regional library, all the while looking all drab and lifeless. Hahaha. Memories.
I really really really miss JC life, its innocence, its perks, the friends, my council, Bro. Paul, Mrs. Loke, my classmates. Only now do i realise how much i actually took them all for granted when i was in JC, always complainign about how much work i had to do, how much studying needed to be done, but i knew i always took it in my stride. Now that i lack those, i really do wish that for a day, even for a day only, i could wake up, put on my CJ blue uniform, pin on my council badge that i pin on with so much pride everyday, heave up my bag and walk out of the door into the twilight sunrise. Maybe add in the rushing part, as i'm always on the verge of being late from school.
These are jewels and facets of life that once gone, will never come back. Like sand, once it slips away, all that u're left with will be what u'll have for a lifetime - memories.

Anyway, after CJ open house, went to meet up with my 2E1 classmates. Had a great dinner and caught up with lots of peeps, especially Janice. Shes in SIM now and couldn't be more better now that she is coping well. I guess. Everyone still looks the same, acts the same and talks the same. Nothing much has changed in the last 4 years i guess. We're all still Secondary 2 kids at heart. =)
I will blog more about it once i get the pics from Sheryl and Janice.
Alright, GCC starts in a few hours time, its time to look forward again to what is ahead of me. All the best Alan. =)
