Finally found some nice and good pictures taken

in Taiwan during my training stint there

a month ago.

Nothing much to elaborate on...just some captions beneath

to more or less explain what it is all about.

Taken just 3 days after we landed in Taiwan. On a Terrain Reading March.

To Get us familiarised with the terrain and environment we were going to

work with for the next 3 weeks. Notice the ROC uniform and especially the

Jockey Cap. We were called Starlight Troopers in taiwan.

Taken as a Platoon, before we attacked an objective.

We were walking along the river bed and as you can observe. It is riddled with huge,
super-sized pebbles. Was the section commander then. Am seated, first row, second

from left.

Taken on the day after 9 days of warrior. At Mei Ling Camp, Tai Chung, ROC.

Our Squeezy bunk conditions that resembled something taken out

of some WWII concentration camp. Here was where we spent planning

our navigational data sheets for Navex or pack our equipments for

Warrior, Longstride etc. Good experience sleeping with 40+ guys

in such squeezy conditions.



The Giant Buddha that overlooks the city of Liu Tou. It was a great help

during our Navex as it is a very prominent feature that can be spotted

from up to 3-5Km away.

The Lights and sounds of Xi Men Ding - Where the food is great

and the shopping - Fantabulous!

our flight back. =)

If you ask me how was Taiwan, i would only say that it was very tough.

Whether do i want to go back again?

YEap, for sure, but only for the R&R..

Have to book in now. =)
